Hassle Free Cake Pan Lining {Quick Tip}

If you are anything like me, lining your cake pans with parchment / baking paper is NOT your favourite part of baking. Well, I had a little lightbulb moment a fews weeks ago. Before I finally got my hands on some silicone mats for baking my cookies on, I bought some Teflon sheets like this:

They are very thin, similar to the thickness of parchment. But they are reusable and non-stick by nature. So one day I thought, what if I just cut the disc for the bottom of my cake pan out of one of these?

And it worked perfectly!!

When I wash my pans I just wash the Teflon disc too and it is ready for the next cake. Not only have I saved myself the hassle of cutting the right sized discs for my tins every time I bake a cake, but I have reduced the huge quantities of parchment / baking paper I consume! I have one for each and every cake pan I own now and I am going to buy some more sheets so that I can line the sides of all my pans too (something I don't often do unless it's really needed, because of the [old] hassle-factor).

Happy Baking!
